During the Initial Exam, our experienced practitioners will conduct a comprehensive assessment of your health and wellbeing. This includes discussing your medical history, current concerns, lifestyle factors, and wellbeing goals.

We’ll also perform a physical examination and, if necessary, recommend additional diagnostic tests. The examination may include but is not limited to thermal scans, vitals check, lab reviews,  strength tests, mobility assessments, and classical assessments such as pulse and tongue reading, palpation and discussion. The Initial Exam is designed to be a thorough and efficient process, typically lasting one hour.

This in-depth evaluation helps us understand your unique needs and design a personalised care and treatment plan to help you achieve your goals. Following the assessment, you will receive a personalised acupuncture treatment and treatment plan.

A Re-exam is a comprehensive hour-long appointment to reassess progress, discuss goals, and refine your treatment plan. It provides an opportunity for in-depth discussion, new recommendations, and ensures ongoing support. Regular Re-exams monitor progress, enhance the practitioner-patient relationship, and contribute to achieving optimal results.

Many of our patients enjoy this extra time for discussion and progress updates as this is not possible in a comprehensive way in the shorter follow up treatments given the busy clinic.

Yes, you may be eligible to claim acupuncture treatments through your private health insurance. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine your level of coverage for acupuncture services.

Our clinic can provide you with the necessary documentation for reimbursement purposes, however as of June 30 2023, we are no longer able to process health fund claims within the clinic.

Booking and prepaying your recommended full care and treatment plan will give you peace of mind knowing that your preferred time slot is reserved exclusively for you. It also allows you to flow in and out of your appointments without having to take care of all the admin, ensuring you to leave with serenity and take that into your daily practice and life.

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and you may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.

If you need to reschedule within the same week please give us at least 36 hours notice.

We will do our best to fit you in within the same week so you can stay on track for your care plan and thus get the best results! (Please note this is not always possible as the schedule fills quickly.)

If you do this then no fees are liable.

This allows us to accommodate other patients who may be waiting for an available slot. Please note that cancellations made with less than 36 hours’ notice or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee, which is the full cost of your scheduled appointment.

Missed, Cancelled or late rescheduled appointments

In the event you have missed, cancelled or given late notice (under 36 hours) for an appointment,

​1 missed, cancelled or late rescheduled appointment – We understand ‘life happens’! Children get sick, important meetings arise etc. No fee – We will see you next time!

​2-3 missed, cancelled or late rescheduled appointment – Full payment of the appointment is required.

​4 or more missed, cancelled or late rescheduled appointment  – Your care plan will be cancelled and no further treatment will be offered. We have people who would appreciate this appointment time. We need to offer it to somebody else.
